New Interview with close friend of Pyro...By Jamie

DM Exclusives (DME): Tell us about yourself.

Sarah (S): My name's Sarah, and Pyro and I literally grew up together. We went to elementary AND high school together.

DME: So you and Pyro are best friends! How close are the two of you?

S: We are like sisters. We lived at each others houses, and were practically inseparable.

DME: What is it like being her best friend?

S: Being Pyro's best friend is definitely an experience. There is never a dull moment when she is around.

DME: Do the two of you get to hang out often?

S: Sadly I lost her to Austin! We still keep in touch, but getting to see each other is very tricky.

DME: What can you tell us about Pyro's personality?

S: She is the sweetest, coolest, most out there, random person I have ever met. She is a star completely. You can't help but be pulled into her world.

DME: What was she like, growing up?

S: Well, we all have our awkward times while growing up, but since I can remember she has always been a very unique individual. Even when we were in elementary school she had a style all her own.

DME: Do you have any childhood photos of her?

S: Yes, only I don't have them on my computer as of yet.

DME: What was Pyro's attitude towards social situations, like school?

S: She always saw school as "I'm here because I have to be. I could be doing better things with my time."

DME: What stereotype would you put her in during high school? Goth? Punk? Prep? Something else?

S: We both tried to fight stereotypes in high school and even now. The plain truth is it isn't right to label someone something even if they dress a certain way or do certain things. Everyone is their own person, and we both feel they should be seen for that.

DME: Pyro describes her young self as "dorky". Would you agree?

S: Well, we all have "dorky" things we do. I would say that yes she is in touch with her inner dork, but she isn't "dorky".

DME: Do you have any funny/interesting stories from hanging out with her? Please tell us!

S: Well, let’s see. My seat belt tried to eat her, and she ended up getting stuck all tangled up in it. I still don't see how she managed it, but I had to get out of the car and help her. It was that bad. Then there is Red Neck Bobsledding. That was the greatest. We would tie this sled to the back of her mom's truck and we would sit in it and she would pull us around the field. The best thing was it would be in like the middle of summer when we did it. There are just so many stories though…I could be here for days. There really was never a dull moment though. We did everything from dancing in the park to causing mass chaos in the Waffle House.

DME: So let's talk about now. Would you like to share her real name with us?

S: Yes, it is *drum role please* .......Seymour.....Seymour Butts!

DME: I’m guessing that was a joke, hahaha. Do you have any info on her boyfriend, Tony?

S: I'm sorry; I’m not at liberty to discuss this matter.

DME: Do you have any Pyro secrets you would like to share?

S: I don't know…secrets are secrets for a reason... but I guess I'll share a few. Ummm…… She has a third arm growing out of her butt. It is a very rare medical disorder, and she is rather sensitive about the subject. Ummmm...She used to have a crush on Frodo from LOTR. OH, and in her free time she likes to perform routine brain surgeries.

DME: Wow. Heheh. Can you tell us about her hobbies, outside of the band?

S: She does a lot of art. I do have to say she quite nifty with some spray paint. She also enjoys video games, concerts, and just having a good time.

DME: Does she have any funny quotes that you remember?

S: I can't remember anything specific, so I don't want to quote her on it. I will say that that we would go entire nights just laughing. I'm not sure if it was because we were so tired, anything was funny and we had lost all reasoning or we were so high on sugar we couldn't think straight, but we were always laughing.

DME: Does she have any tattoos or piercings (other than her ears)?

S: Yes, she has your name tattooed on her butt

DME: We heard from fans that she can be really funny. Do you agree? Tell us some of the funny things she's said or done!

S: OH YES! If she doesn't make it in the music biz, I think she should try stand up comedy. I don't know, she is completely random. Like, she would lay on her tummy on my computer chair and glide across the room saying she was flying. She also wore a Hispanic man mask and a tu tu to a car wash. We told this one guy at Waffle House we loved his momma. I think he thought we were "special". She was always doing something though, and each time it was even more random that the last and it was the best.

DME: Is she a particularly opinionated person? About what?

S: She is as stubborn as they come…about everything.

DME: Do you think Pyro is a talented person? Examples?

S: What kind of question is that? Of course she is talented. She has a beautiful voice. She's great at playing piano, bass, and guitar. A great writer, and that is only music wise. She can draw and paint. She also just told me, "I can water ski now!" We won't even get into all of that. But yes, she is extraordinarily talented.

DME: What do you think of her voice?

S: She has an amazing voice and I'm so proud of her for deciding to share it with the world.

DME: So how does she feel about Doomsday Machine? We'd love to learn more about her work.

S: She is keeps her work a secret from me until it is done because she wants to surprise me. So, I don't know any more than anyone else. I can say that her work is incredibly important to her and she is so excited to have everyone's support.

DME: Have you had a sneak-peek at the upcoming album? Can you give us any info on the song names, lyrics, music, art, or album name?

S: All she will tell me is "The album is going to be very diverse and eclectic. There will be a lot of different music styles, so hopefully everyone will find something they like. We don't usually go for sad, depressed song meanings, but some of our songs are aggressive. Our lyrics vary a lot in ideas. But we'd like to put out a message that displays strength." She is also planning on doing a lot of the album art herself.

DME: Do you have any opinions on the rest of the band members?

S: Donnie is a hottie, and FlameHead will always be like my little brother......whether he likes it or not!

DME: What do you think of Doomsday Machine as a whole?

S: I think they are an amazing bunch of people, and I expect nothing but great things from them all.

Pyro has made a new post in her official journal and she included two Audio Blogs. The first one mentions this website! She also thanked all three of the people who work on it, so I would love for everyone to hear these!
She also included some new info about the new DM album, including the name of the album! :) It's going to be called "It Begins...".

You guys want to check this chick out, cause she's cool. She goes by the name Pyro. She's in a band called Doomsday Machine. Anyway, This is going to be about her.
